Flower Trim Creativity BOOM!

So I decided to enter Wholeport's Creativity Expo. I love free things, a creative challenge, the opportunity to win something, and the best of all the chance to hopefully meet new blog friends! All the choices they gave us were REALLY tempting but ultimately I chose their vivid pink rose lace trim.

Here are my entires: (BTW I used up the whole 1.5 yards they sent me.)
Frame. This is another great Do It Yourself ( DIY ) project. The frame is from Ikea, like $2 for two. I LOVE pink so I decided to leave the frame the way it was, BUT you could totally paint it. A Gold or pale pink would have worked as well. I used my handy dandy hot glue gun to attach the trim and the beaded flower on top.

A Sellz Couture Compact Mirror. I used E6000 to glue these flowers onto the mirror. I also glued on a plastic round clear rhinestone to the middle for that special touch. (I need that bling!)

This has to be my favorite of the three. A Feather and Lace Trim Head Piece. The feather pad is a gem find at a small fabric shop in Manhattan. I used my hot glue gun to attach the trim (I made a swirl figure with the trim to form a circle) Then I attached the beaded flower (I found that at an embellishment store in Manhattan) I hot glue gunned a clip to the back of the feather pad. You could also attach it to a headband if you prefer, I just find a clip to give you more options on how you wear it.

Now click on over to WholePorts FB Page and LIKE my pics so I could win!! :-)
